The HEUG ANZ Program Team is  accepting presentation proposals 9 June through 31 July, 2025.

We invite you to submit presentation proposals that explore the theme "Innovate & Elevate: Maximizing Impact with Technology".

This theme highlights the power of innovation in higher education, emphasizing how staff can leverage technology to enhance efficiency, creativity, and student success-turning challenges into opportunities for growth.

This is your chance to spotlight your work, spark new ideas, and connect with higher ed professionals from across ANZ.

Presentation Format

Speakers should use the ANZ Event branded MS PowerPoint Template ( 5 MB) for their presentation on-site. Please refer to the accompanying instruction slides to customize your presentation—there are multiple slide layouts available to fit a variety of content styles and needs.

Keynote

Professor John Dewar AO

Emeritus Professor at La Trobe University and a partner in Performance Improvement at KordaMentha

Professor Dewar is a graduate of the University of Oxford and held academic and leadership roles at universities in the UK and Australia, including Vice Chancellor of La Trobe University (2012–2024) and Interim Vice Chancellor at the University of Wollongong (2024–2025). He also served as Chair of Universities Australia and held positions with major law firms in London. In 2020, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for his distinguished service to higher education and professional organizations.

I liked the sessions that focused on case studies, and details of how Universities addressed challenges with practical solutions. The sponsors were very friendly and engaging, too!

The sessions delivered by other institutions are most valuable to me. I find that it's helpful to know what colleagues are working on in their universities.

The meet and greet was great! There were a handful of sessions I got a lot out of, topics like fluid forms, power apps, and power of ai were informative.

The format of this event worked really well. There were plenty of sessions to choose from with a good variety of topics I was interested in.
