About EMEA Alliance 2022

The EMEA Higher Education Users Group (HEUG) is excited to announce that we will be in person to Rediscover, Reconnect and Rejuvenate at EMEA Alliance 2022, 20-21 October, Nottingham, United Kingdom. The programme will cater to the diverse portfolio of campus IT systems. As always, the EMEA Alliance Conference programme looks at the needs of our students, our educational and administrative staff over the next five years and how can we best embrace technology to meet those needs. EMEA Alliance is a great opportunity to network with your colleagues from other institutions from around Europe, Middle East and Africa. At the same time, you may wish to take the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Nottingham.

Professor Jonathan Van-Tam

Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

Jonathan Van-Tam Kt, MBE, FMedSci, is a public health specialist with a clinical background in emergency medicine, anaesthesia and infectious diseases. He is an expert on respiratory viruses and pandemics and currently Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Nottingham. His career has also taken him to Public Health England, the World Health Organization, and the pharmaceutical and vaccine industries. Jonathan was seconded to the Department of Health and Social Care in 2017-22 as Deputy Chief Medical Officer. He is well-known for his leadership role during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly his straight, no-nonsense, communication style from the podium at No.10 Downing Street, and for the acquisition and rollout of vaccines and antiviral drugs in the UK. He received a knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen in her 2022 New Year’s Honours List, for services to public health. He has recently been awarded the Royal Society’s Attenborough Award and Lecture 2022, for outstanding public engagement in science.

Lucas Heymans has 24 year of seniority at Oracle, has a track record in strategy and customer advocacy roles and is active in Higher Education Application Strategy since 2002. During his career he has been successful in different sales and management roles for HCM and Financial software companies. He has a Master in Law degree and a Post Graduate Management degree from the KU Leuven, Belgium.

Who can attend EMEA Alliance 2022?

All attendees must be an Institutional, Allied, or a Subscriber Member of the HEUG at the time of registration.

What types of payment do you accept?

All fees payable in US Dollars. We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express. No purchase orders, cheques, or wire transfers will be accepted.

Do you offer ADA assistance during the conference?

Yes. During registration, you will be asked if you need any ADA assistance.
