During this presentation you will learn the steps to create and distribute your first BI Publisher report. We will cover installing the Microsoft Word template builder plug-in, creating your report layout, performing the administrative set-up steps, and a demonstration of methods which can be used to distribute the reports. This presentation will use Student Financials data but your newly acquired skills will be applicable to any queryable data that resides in your system.

In this presentation, we will learn how to:
1) Configure a Data Source for a BI Publisher (BIP) report based on a PS query
2) Generate and download the data source XML file that is used for merging data into the BIP RTF report layout
3) Create and build a simple report layout using the XML file and the Microsoft Word BIP template builder add-in
4) Perform the administrative set-up steps for adding a new BIP report to the system
5) Distribute BIP reports using the BI Publisher Query Report Scheduler and Communication Generation tools
